Getting started12
What is LyfeConnex?
One app for your work and the life around it: projects, planner, notes, statistics and an assistant, alongside sleep, training, food, study, habits, money and the people you share them with. Everything uses the same search, timer, calendar and numbers.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants their plans and their wellbeing in one place. Students use it to space study and protect sleep, athletes to see training, food and recovery together, professionals to run projects and their week, and plenty of people simply to build better habits.
How do I get started?
Create a free account on the web or in the app, then pick the areas you want in onboarding. Each tab has the same two buttons: Start for something that takes time and Log for something that already happened.
The Tutorial on this site walks through the whole app in about ten minutes.
Do I have to use every area?
No. Turn on only the areas you care about and leave the rest off. Nothing you skip ever asks for attention, and you can change your mind in Settings at any time.
What is the difference between Start and Log?
Start begins something that takes time, such as a workout, a study block or going to bed, and a timer follows you around the app until you finish. Log records something that already happened, with the details filled in by hand.
How long does it take to learn?
A few minutes for the basics, because every area works the same way. The depth is there when you want it: statistics after a couple of weeks of data, the assistant when you connect it.
Can I bring my calendar in?
Yes. Subscribe to a calendar link, import a calendar file, or connect Google Calendar from Integrations, and your events appear alongside everything else.
Is the app in my language?
This site is available in many languages. The app itself is in English for now; translating the app is the next step after the site.
Are there keyboard shortcuts?
Yes, on computers. Open Keyboard shortcuts from Settings to see the full list.
Can I search across the whole app?
Yes. Press Ctrl+K, or Cmd+K on a Mac, to jump to any note, area, page, routine or setting, or to create something new. On a phone, search opens with the keyboard ready.
Is there a dark mode?
Yes. In Appearance, choose Ultra Black for a true dark screen, Pure White for a bright one, or Auto, which switches between the two at times you set. There are colour themes too.
Can I use metric or imperial units?
Yes. Pick your units, date format, week start and time format in Settings.
Account and sign-in8
How can I sign in?
With an email address and password, or with your Google account. The same account works on the web, the installed app and phones.
I forgot my password. What now?
Choose Reset password on the sign-in screen and we will email you a link to set a new one. The link signs you in for that one purpose.
Can I sign in with Apple?
Not yet. Email and Google sign-in are available today, and Sign in with Apple is planned.
How do I change my name or picture?
Open your account from your picture and edit your name and photo there. Your picture is what connections see in chat and shared work.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes. You must be at least 13 to use LyfeConnex. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with a parent or guardian’s permission, as the Terms of Service explain.
How do I delete my account?
Open your account from your picture, scroll to Delete account, type DELETE MY ACCOUNT and confirm. The same steps work on the web. Your account and data are removed straight away; encrypted backups are overwritten within about thirty days.
Cannot sign in? Email support from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
Can I use one account on several devices?
Yes. Sign in on as many devices as you like and everything stays in sync.
How do I sign out?
Open the menu from your picture and choose Sign out. Signing out keeps your data safe in your account.
Pricing and plans6
Is LyfeConnex really free?
Yes. Everything in the app is free during early access, on every device, with no card and no trial clock.
Will there be paid plans?
Yes. Pro and AI plans are in development. The plans are being designed so the everyday app stays free, while paid plans add things that cost money to run, such as extra storage, backups and hosted AI.
How much will Pro cost?
Prices will be announced before the paid plans open, and people using LyfeConnex will hear first.
How will payment work?
When plans open you will be able to subscribe in the app. A plan bought through the App Store or Google Play is managed and cancelled in your phone’s subscription settings.
Can I cancel a paid plan any time?
Yes. When paid plans open you will be able to cancel whenever you like, and your data stays exportable.
Is LyfeConnex paid for by ads?
No. There are no ads in LyfeConnex, and nothing you record is sold.
Devices and installing10
Which devices does it work on?
Any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS, Android, iPhone and iPad. You can install it as an app on all of them, and phone apps for iPhone and Android are on the way.
How do I install the app?
Open app.lyfeconnex.com/install. In Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet and Opera there is one Install button. On iPhone and iPad tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. In Safari on a Mac choose File, then Add to Dock.
Is there an iPhone or Android app?
The phone apps are in testing and on the way to the App Store and Google Play. Until then, install the web app on your phone: it opens full screen, works offline and uses the same account.
Is there a desktop app?
Install the web app on your computer and it gets its own window, dock or taskbar icon and works offline. A dedicated desktop app is in development.
Can I install it in Firefox?
Firefox on a computer does not install web apps. Use it in a pinned tab, or open the install page in Chrome, Edge or Safari. Firefox on Android can install it from its menu.
How do I update the app?
You do not need to. The installed web app picks up new versions by itself the next time it opens.
Are there home-screen widgets?
Yes, in the phone apps for iPhone and Android, which are on the way. Inside the app, Home has widgets you choose and arrange on every device.
Does it work on a tablet?
Yes. The layout adapts to the screen, and sketches work with a finger or a stylus.
Which browsers are supported?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, Samsung Internet and Opera.
How do notifications work?
Choose what you want in Notifications: reminders for each area, a daily tip, a daily summary, Autopilot results, a quiet notice while a timer runs, and news from your projects and chats. The app asks for permission only when you switch one of them on.
Projects and teamwork9
Can I use Projects on my own?
Yes. Everyone has a personal workspace whose projects are private. Add a shared workspace when you want to plan with other people.
How do I invite my team?
Create a workspace and invite people by email, or add someone you are already connected with. They see the workspace’s projects as soon as they join.
Is there a roadmap or timeline view?
Yes. The roadmap shows every project on a timeline, and you drag a project’s span to reschedule it.
Can I set milestones?
Yes. Milestones mark the dates that matter inside a project, and the project shows how many it has reached.
What does project health mean?
Each project says whether it is on track, at risk or off track, so trouble shows up in the overview before it shows up in a deadline.
Can I save filtered views?
Yes. Group by status, person, project or due date, filter to today, this week, overdue or unassigned, and save the view for yourself or share it with the workspace.
Does it support subtasks?
Yes. Tasks nest as deep as you need in the task tree, with assignees, priorities and due dates.
How do I see what changed?
The activity feed lists every change since you last looked, and a banner offers new changes as teammates make them. Assignments and mentions arrive as notifications.
Can I discuss a task with someone?
Yes. Send any task to a chat in one tap and talk it through with the context attached.
Inbox, calendar and timers8
What is the inbox for?
Catching everything you need to do. Capture in a second, add tags as you go, and clear overdue and completed work from their own panels.
Does it have a calendar?
Yes, with events and all-day plans, a view that folds away when you need room, and a Today button to jump back.
What kinds of timers are there?
Countdown, count-up and stopwatch. Run several at once; they keep counting while you move around the app.
Does a timer keep going if I switch apps?
Yes. A timer remembers when it started, so it shows the right time when you come back, and a countdown that ended while you were away is recorded as finished.
Do timed sessions show up in my calendar?
Yes. A finished session is logged to the right area and appears in your calendar.
What are routines?
Entries you repeat, such as a workout, a meal or an evening checklist, saved so you can apply them in one tap or run them step by step with Play. A routine can follow a schedule and shows how often you kept to it.
Can I change what Home shows?
Yes. Choose and arrange the widgets on Home, and keep today’s tasks and schedule side by side.
Is there a quick way to add things?
Yes. Quick add logs something or starts a timer from anywhere, and the plus in each tab does the same without leaving the page.
Notes8
What kinds of notes can I make?
Text notes, sketches, slides, sheets and marked-up PDFs, kept in folders you browse like a drive.
Can I draw with a stylus?
Yes. Sketches read pen pressure where the device reports it, rough shapes become clean ones, and the eraser end of the pen erases.
Can I write on PDFs?
Yes. Import a PDF, write and draw on its pages, and keep the result with your notes.
Can I make diagrams?
Yes. Shapes, text boxes and connectors that stay attached when you move things turn a sketch into a diagram.
What is the graph?
Switch on a folder’s graph to see how its notes connect, and follow the threads between ideas.
Can I export a note?
Yes. Export any note from the note itself, or everything at once from Storage and offline.
Can a note have pages?
Yes. Write on one long page, or switch a text note to pages when it is headed for print.
Can I keep notes private?
Yes. Put a lock on Notes, or seal it with an encrypted lock so only your devices can read it and the assistant never can.
Health and growth10
How does sleep tracking work?
Log bedtime and wake time each night, naps included. The Sleep tab shows your average night, how regular you are, your sleep debt over the last fourteen nights, your sleep quality and the pattern you actually keep. The picture gets sharper over the first couple of weeks.
Does it connect to a watch or wearable?
Not today. Entries are logged in the app, by hand or with a timer.
How do I log workouts?
Start a workout and the timer follows you around the app, or log one afterwards. Minutes, sessions and strength sets land in one card, and exercise cards show the muscles each one works.
How does food tracking work?
Log meals with their macros, see protein across the day, and look up nutrients on food cards drawn from USDA FoodData Central. Keep track of what is in the fridge and log a meal straight from it.
Will one missed day break my habit streak?
No. Streaks are built to survive a missed day, because the research on habits finds a single lapse does no harm.
How does study tracking work?
Log sessions by field and subject. The Learning tab shows the gaps between sessions and how much you tested yourself, and subject cards suggest what to learn first.
What is Reflection for?
A few lines a day with the feelings named. Over weeks it shows what moves your mood, and what does not.
Can I track meditation?
Yes. Track sessions and minutes, read guidance cards on the main styles, and use the calming sounds while you practise.
Is the health guidance medical advice?
No. It summarises peer-reviewed research for healthy adults and is not a substitute for a professional. Ask your doctor about anything medical.
Can I track money?
Yes. Log transactions by category, see income, spending and net for a period, keep investments alongside, and plan purchases on a shopping list. Transactions are entered by you; the app never connects to your bank.
Insights and the science8
What does Statistics show?
How your areas move together, with the confidence of each link; forecasts for the week ahead; warnings when something drifts from a goal; and a short list of what stands out.
How much data before Statistics is useful?
A couple of weeks is enough to start, and every finding’s confidence grows as you log more.
Does a correlation mean one thing causes another?
No, and the app never says so. It shows what moves together and how sure it is; the why is for you and the research.
Where does the guidance come from?
From peer-reviewed research. Every tip and every guidebook passage cites at least five independent peer-reviewed sources, each linked to the original paper. If the evidence is thinner than that, the advice is not in the app.
What counts as a source?
Peer-reviewed papers and consensus statements from scientific bodies. Press articles, books, blogs and preprints never count.
What are the guidebooks?
Each area has a guidebook in two parts: Guidance, which explains what the research says, and Operations, which explains how the tab works. Open it from the Info icon on the tab, or read the research in the Science library on this site.
How is the tip under each tab chosen?
It speaks to your weakest signal in that area, so the advice is about what would help most now. Tap Why to see the sources.
Can I get my statistics by email?
Yes. Email automations send a digest of your statistics on a schedule and an alert only when something slips or goes quiet, whether or not the app is open.
The assistant10
What can the assistant do?
Plan your week, tidy your inbox, review a month, answer questions about your own data and turn photos, speech and meal pictures into suggested entries. Every change it proposes arrives as a card you accept or reject.
Which AI models does it use?
Your choice: LyfeConnex AI (Claude, run by us and paid with credits), your own Claude, OpenAI or Gemini key, or a model that runs on your device.
Does my data go to an AI company?
Only when you use a cloud model. LyfeConnex AI sends your message, and what it reads from the tabs you allow, to our AI provider to write the answer, and our providers may not train on it. With your own key, it goes to that provider under its terms. With an on-device model, nothing leaves your device.
Where is my API key stored?
On the device you entered it on. It is never synced to our servers or to your other devices.
Can the assistant change things on its own?
Only if you allow it. Each tool starts by suggesting, and you can let one apply on its own, one switch at a time, with undo.
What can the assistant never see?
Your Vault, your medical records and any tab sealed with an encrypted lock, whatever the settings. You can also switch off any other tab from its view.
What is Autopilot?
Jobs the assistant runs on a schedule while the app is open: a morning plan, an evening tidy, a weekly review and a nudge when a statistic slips, plus jobs you write. Its suggestions wait for your review unless you let a job apply them.
How does the on-device model work?
Install a model pack sized for your device and the assistant runs locally, with nothing sent anywhere. Larger models need more memory, so phones get smaller packs.
Can I talk to the assistant?
You can dictate requests on devices that support speech recognition. Replies appear as text.
Can I use the assistant without my own key?
Yes, with an on-device model today. A hosted option that needs no key is planned for the AI plan.
Privacy and security9
Who can read my data?
Only you, and the people you choose to share specific things with. Every table checks who is asking with row-level security.
How do locks work?
Set a master key once in Settings, under Locks and privacy. A plain lock then asks for that key, or a password of the tab’s own, before the tab opens, and hides it while it is locked. An encrypted lock also seals the tab’s rows and files on your device before they sync, so our servers only ever hold ciphertext. Each tab can lock itself after a time you choose, and on phones it can open with your fingerprint or face.
Which tabs can be encrypted?
Private ones such as Notes, Reflection, Sleep, Exercise, Nutrition, Habits, Goals, Finance, Inventory and People. Tabs other people can write to, such as Projects, Calendar and Inbox, take a plain lock, so the people you share with can still read them.
What if I forget my master key?
Sealed data opens only with its key, which your master key or the tab’s own password protects, and neither ever leaves your device. If no device can still open the tab with a fingerprint or face, the data cannot be recovered, by you or by us. Write the master key down somewhere safe.
What is the Vault?
A place for documents and medical records that the assistant can never read, whatever the settings.
Do you sell my data?
No. Nothing you record is sold, used for advertising or used to train AI models.
Where is the Privacy Policy?
On this site under Privacy Policy, in full. It explains what we keep, why, and for how long.
How do I report a security problem?
Email support with “Security” in the subject, and please keep the details private until it is fixed.
Sync, offline and your data6
Does it work offline?
Yes. The installed app opens without a connection, your recent data is kept on the device, and anything you change offline syncs when you are back.
How does sync work?
Changes sync to your account and appear on your other devices, usually within moments. Changes made offline are queued on the device and sent when the connection returns.
How do I export my data?
Open Settings, then Storage and offline, and choose Export data. Everything is copied as text you can paste into a file and keep, and Import data reads the same text back. A single note can also be exported from the note itself.
What is kept on my device?
A copy of your recent data for offline use, files you keep offline, and your AI keys. Storage and offline shows what is kept and lets you clear it.
Where are my music files kept?
Songs you import are files on your devices; the app shows where each one lives and plays it from there.
Do you keep backups?
Yes, encrypted backups for disaster recovery. When you delete something, it can remain in those backups for a limited period, normally no more than thirty days, before it is overwritten.
Troubleshooting7
My changes are not showing on another device.
Check that both devices are online and signed in to the same account. While a device is offline, a small chip at the top says how many changes are waiting and sends them when the connection returns. If the server ever refuses a change, a banner at the top says so.
The app showed “Something went wrong”. What happened?
The app hit an error and offered a restart instead of closing. The details are sent to us automatically so we can fix it. If it keeps happening, write to support with roughly when it happened.
I am not getting notifications.
Check that notifications are switched on in the app’s Notifications page and allowed for LyfeConnex in your device or browser settings.
I do not see an Install button.
Some browsers do not install web apps, and links opened inside other apps cannot install anything. Open app.lyfeconnex.com/install in Chrome, Edge or Safari; the page shows the steps for your browser.
Google sign-in does not finish.
Google sign-in leaves for Google’s page and comes back. If you return signed out, check that your browser is not blocking site data for app.lyfeconnex.com, as some private modes do, then try again. If it still fails, sign in with email and password, or write to support.
How do I report a bug?
Email support with what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead. Your device, the app version and a screenshot help a lot.
Can I suggest a feature?
Please do. Email support with the idea and the problem it would solve for you.
Still need a hand?
A person reads every message, usually within a day or two.
